Children improves Zambia

William Follestad in his speech at the official opening ceremony thanked NCA and CoG for their fine work that they have been doing in the community at Kanakantapa. He said Follestad were happy to be part of the development process in Zambia and also to give a chance to Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC’s) to get educated. ‘’Follestad is privileged to be able to support the building of this great school’’, said William. He further encouraged the children of Kanakantapa to use education to develop Zambia into an even greater and more beautiful country.

Education main priority

Area MP Sylvia Masebo expressed happiness to be part of the official opening ceremony of the school and thanked Follestad for their financial support on behalf of Government. She said the Government of Zambia has placed education as the main priority area for development in 2009. ‘’The infrastructure at this school has been built to the required standards of conventional Government schools, and the furniture is also impressive’’, said Masebo.

NCA Country representative, Mr. Oddbjorn Flem said that education is the very foundation for all development and Zambia is not an exception in this issue. He explained how NCA Zambia has now started approaching private donors in Norway to continue and remain committed to supporting education in Zambia as can be evidenced by the building of Antioch South Community School.
