Our international network

Norwegian Church Aid works to establish good relationships with church-based and other voluntary organisations that share our vision, mission and values, in other countries as well as in Norway.

Norwegian Church Aid is part of the global development network ACT Alliance, which unites more than one hundred church-based development aid organisations from around the world. The Alliance numbers among the five largest humanitarian organisations in the world, and by working through the Alliance, we can ensure our work is better coordinated and more effective.

ACT Alliance is the international equivalent of Norwegian Church Aid, combining the capabilities of the World Council of Churches, the Lutheran World Federation and Norwegian Church Aid’s sister organisations in other countries.

Norwegian Church Aid is also a member of APRODEV (Association of World Council of Churches Related Development Organizations in Europe), which consists of sister organisations in Europe. APRODEV works as a lobby organisation on matters relating to North-South issues within EU institutions.

We also have other international partners, like Eurodad, a European network for debt relief, of which Norwegian Church Aid is a member; Jubilee 2000 and JubileeSouth, a coalition of networks for debt relief in the South; Humanitarian Accountability Partnership and the international YMCA/YWCA.
